What it is
A roof inspection that reaches where a ladder cannot

Questions clients ask
What can a drone see that a ground inspection cannot?
From the street you see the front slope at a distance. The drone photographs each slope at close range. It shows ridge tiles, flashings, valleys, chimney stacks and the rear of the roof. Small cracks and slipped tiles show up clearly.
Do you need to get on the roof or into the house?
No. There are no ladders and no scaffolding, and nobody goes on the roof. We tell you before the day if we need access to the site.
Can you fly in any weather?
No. A drone cannot fly safely in rain or strong wind. We check the forecast and any airspace limits before we confirm the date.
Is the flight legal and insured?
Yes. Every flight follows Civil Aviation Authority rules. Commercial drone insurance is in place for each survey.
How long does it take, and when do I get the report?
The flight usually takes under an hour. Your written report, with photographs, follows within two working days of the flight.
Is a drone roof survey the same as a full survey?
No. It covers the roof, the chimneys and the gutters from the outside. It does not cover the roof space, walls, damp or services. If you are buying, pair it with a RICS Level 2 Home Survey or a RICS Level 3 Building Survey.
Will my insurer or lender accept the report?
Some insurers and lenders ask for a professional view of the roof. Ask yours what they need first. Tell us, and we will say whether this report fits before you book.
Can I use the report to get repair quotes?
Yes. The report lists each defect with a photograph and a recommended action. A roofer can see what needs doing and quote for it. We are happy to talk you through the findings.
